Our bags are Limited Edition, each of them handmade with quality leather and Ethnic Fabric. The fabrics are vintage and originally come from different tribes, mainly from India, Thailand and Afganistan.

The creation of each bag implies a manual recycling process of the fabrics, traditional tan of the leather and a complete handicraft creation.

Any irregular wave of the fabrics or prints is a unique characteristic and a sign of identity of our product.

The result is that each bag is Unique and Exclusive.

Selection of the fabrics

1. FABRICS

Everything starts with choosing and making a selection of the fabrics; we recycle and clean the fabrics, separating the usable parts and reject the damaged ones. Ones the fabrics are ready we start the process of combination and patchwork.

2. THE LEATHER

We use high quality leather from local providers who tan the leather in a traditional way. We choose the colors to achieve a beautiful contrast.

3. PATTERN DESIGN

The pattern design is prepared completey manual; each model has between 25 and 30 differente patterns which are drawn and cut out of carton one by one.

4. CUTTING THE LEATHER

Once the patterns are finished, we use the designs corresponding to the type and color of the leather. This is a very precise process with no margin for error.

5. CUTTING THE FABRICS

The same process is used in preparing the fabrics, but in this case the size of the fabrics are very irregular and limited; that is why all the bags requiere a complicated and detailed patchwork job.

6. HANDICRAFT

Each trim, border or seam is handmade; in fact we use very old trimming technics from Indonesia and Thailand which are impossible to be made by machine.

7. PRODUCTION TIME

Due to the complicity of the fabrics and due to the creation of the unique details, each bag involves an average of 40 hours of work.

8. DETAILS

The essence of our collection is all about details and quality. Beyond this we use the best quality trimming, like zippers (YKK). In addition our covers are made from recycled cotton and are eco-friendly printed.

9. THE RESULT

The result is a unique bag, one of a kind and completely exclusive from the beginning to the end. Each bag, made by highly profesional tailers, is a process of creation by itself. That is why Damai is the “Art of Creativity”

10. COLORS

For this collection we work with the following leather colors.

We choose the colors of leather, depending on the fabrics; we always look for the best combination with contrast and equilibrium of the material.

Each bag model implies a whole production line in itself, which makes it impossible to standardize a fixed production process. Which means each bag is unique!

We present this color card for our clients to choose their preferences and we try to keep within their selections as much as possible
